Frequently asked questions
What Power BI Slider needs, what it can see, what it costs and how it behaves on a screen left running for months.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Power BI Slider runs in the browser. Any device that can open a modern browser can show a presentation: a smart TV, a mini PC or a tablet. In most cases whatever already drives the screen is enough. There is an optional browser extension that adds a shortcut inside Power BI itself, but nothing requires it.
What do I need to get started?
A valid Microsoft Power BI account and a device with a browser and internet access. You sign in with the same Microsoft account you already use for Power BI.
Can Power BI Slider see or change my data?
No. It requests read-only permissions and embeds your reports through the official Microsoft APIs. It cannot edit reports or workspaces, and it does not read the data inside your datasets. All access continues to be enforced by Microsoft against your own permissions.
Are you part of Microsoft?
No. Power BI Slider is built by Jedizer Tecnologia Ltda, an independent company with no affiliation to, endorsement by, or partnership with Microsoft. Power BI is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. We build on Microsoft's official public APIs, the same ones open to any developer, and your reports, permissions and data stay inside your own Microsoft environment.
What is stored about me?
Your name and email from the Microsoft profile, and the identifiers that tie your account to your Microsoft tenant. If you subscribe, the billing details you enter: billing email, legal name, tax ID, address and phone. Compositions are saved to your account, including the names of the reports and workspaces they draw pages from. We also record which report was presented and when, so we can support the service. Presentation settings for a single report stay on the device that shows it. We never store the data inside your reports.
How long is the trial and does it need a card?
Fifteen days, and no card. The trial has the same capabilities as a paid plan: no report limit, no screen limit, no time-of-use limit.
How many screens can one account drive?
We do not cap it, and plans are priced per user, so nothing on our side limits how many screens you run. The practical ceiling comes from your own Power BI environment: the capacity your organisation is on, its API quotas, and how heavy the reports are. Most companies run several screens without trouble. If you are planning a large wall of them, that is a question about your Power BI capacity rather than about your Power BI Slider plan, and we are glad to look at it with you.
What is a composition?
A presentation built from individual pages of several different reports, in an order you choose. Each page keeps its own duration and bookmark. Compositions are saved to your account, so any screen can open the same one.
Will a screen keep running unattended?
That is what most of the product is for. Access tokens are renewed before they expire, the presentation resumes on its own after a re-embed, and the report is fully reloaded every ten cycles so a newly published version reaches the screen without anyone touching it.
How do I cancel?
From the account page, at any time. The subscription stays active until the end of the current billing cycle, so cancelling does not cut off access you have already paid for.
Still stuck?
The tutorial walks through every screen with pictures, and the assistant in the corner answers questions about the product.
