Use the browser extension
Jump straight from a report you are already reading in Power BI into Power BI Slider, without going through the workspace list.
1.Install from your browser's store
The official extension is published for the four browsers below. It is entirely optional, since everything in Power BI Slider works without it. It exists to save you the trip through the workspace list when you already have the report open.
2.Open your report at app.powerbi.com
With the extension installed, open the report on Microsoft's own site as you normally would. The extension does nothing until it recognises a report page.
3.Watch the icon turn amber
The extension icon in your browser toolbar turns amber once it recognises the report. Grey means the current page is not something it can hand over.
4.Press Start Presentation Mode
Click the icon and press the Start Presentation Mode button. That is the whole interaction, since there is nothing to configure inside the extension.
5.Land in Power BI Slider, ready to configure
You arrive at Power BI Slider with the same report open and the settings panel already showing. From here it is the report guide: choose pages, durations and bookmarks, then save and start.
